The tuna sandwich was my go-to meal in high school, and I have such fond memories of it. Today, I’m excited to share my favorite recipe on the blog. This tuna salad is incredibly delicious, fresh, and light, and it's made with canned tuna. Simply spread the tuna salad generously over your favorite bread, and add lettuce for extra freshness and texture. Enjoy!

METHOD

  • tuna salad

    Drain the canned tuna. We prefer using tuna in oil, but canned tuna in water will work great, too. Finely chop the celery, onion, gherkin, and parsley. Add them to a bowl, along with pickle juice, paprika powder, cayenne pepper, Greek yogurt, mayo, mustard, and tuna. Using a fork, combine the ingredients to get an even, combined mixture. Season with lemon zest and lemon juice and set aside until needed.

    Divide tuna salad between 4 bread rolls. Add the lettuce and serve.
